I am the Executive Director of the Crooked River Lighthouse.
I have been in this position for a year.
Before that, I was the president of Carrabelle Lighthouse Association.
It was the nonprofit that formed five years ago to save the tower.
Lighthouses are a part of our history.
And, they're part of the sense of place that we have, in areas.
So when you go to Carrabelle and you see that little bridge over the river and you see the Marina, that is a unique place.
And so you become recognizable.
So this tower has been witness to the booms and busts of Carrabelle over the last century.
