Hastings is described as being a passionate musician, educator, mentor, colleague, and friend. Music for this concert includes: 12 New Etudes (1986) by Bolcom; Three Preludes on Gregorian Melodies by Respighi; and Etudes-tableaux, Op.33 by Rachmaninoff.
